SOMETIMES THEY DO THAT BROOCH

This line stood out from the page in the novel 'Accabadora' by Michela Murgia. I pondered it for ages. At the time, I was also having an urge to make a square piece & realised that square is not a shape I’ve made before... so both came together & the brooch was born.

Nest of shoots twitch from within an enclosed silver box with one that emerged alone. Sometimes they do that.
