THE DUST COLLECTION
‘Dust is the daughter of things’ - Clarice Lispector
Things make things. The dust of one gathers and accumulates, forming a community with the dust of others. I make a lot of dust when making. Each cut or file stroke that goes into creating one piece leaves daughters to settle, to be brushed up and, through flame, melted into another.
This collection is a continuation of my draw towards states that are at once themselves and their opposites. To dust is both adding and removing.
